Temporomandibular Joint Disorder, also known as Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction or TMJ Syndrome, describes a variety of painful problems by the joint that connects the skull to the lower jaw. These disorders can often cause pain, a clicking noise, and can effect how you chew, talk, or even yawn.
Adjusting one’s bite through orthodontics can relieve and cure TMJ/TMD. It can be done even if your teeth are already straight, or simultaneously while you straighten your teeth.
If you are experiencing discomfort while you chew or if your jaw clicks contact our office to schedule an appointment with Dr. Law.
